Hell of a catch! You don’t normally see fish like that in the streets of New York. I’ll bet her arms are wrecked after reeling that thing up the side of a building!

Nowadays that means something else. It’s good to win awards for whatever you’re good at.

She cast right off the roof and into the Hudson River to catch that fish…while wearing high heels.

    4. Not buying it unless they had a mount on the back to hold onto the railing. That fish might be half her size. No way that bicep is lifting that bad boy with no other real strain on her (maybe her left shoulder is pushing in on the fish to keep it from falling).

“Miss national catfish queen” would have quite different connotations today

    6. Ok, first.. what a woman… she wins some damn award and they’re like you gotta do this for the prize and she’s like “cool.” Second.. whatever freaking company sponsored this wanted to put the winner in THAT outfit in heels?…so those lascivious old dudes running this bullshite were aiming for this with maybe “after” parties for the winner.. THIRD.. girl (she’s barely 18) hefted an almost 60 pound catfish rod in her other hand. Fourth… miss national catfish queen award stopped 3 years later.. maybe because fishing girls catching catfish not gonna play? It’s history. This glorious woman got her money.. and the gross NY creepers got nuthin.
